Visit Kehlsteinhaus, better known as Hitler's retreat, the Eagles Nest, on this day trip to Bavaria. Journey through spectacular scenery along the Konigsee River Valley and the Bavarian Alps, before arriving at Obersalzberg.

Eagle?s Nest
Leave Salzburg behind on a comfortable coach with your guide, and begin your day trip by journeying through the Bavarian Alps and along the King?s Lake River. Part two of your Super Saver tour begins after lunch. Below Obersalzberg are the 450-year-old salt mines. Visit the largest Ice Caves in the world on this memorable afternoon trip from Salzburg. Your tour meanders south along the picturesque Salzach Valley towards the idyllic village of Werfen, taking in historic monuments, sheer mountain passes and the most imposing castle in middle Europe, Castle Werfen - made famous in the movie "Where Eagles Dare".

You will need walking shoes, warm clothes and should be prepared for uphill walking. The climb to the ice caves is 134 meters, which is equivalent to climbing the stairs in a high block of apartments. Each individual should decide for themselves whether he or she is physically able to complete the climb. The beauty and breathtaking dimensions of the cave provide plenty of reward for the effort! Although the speed of the guided tour is tailored to the group, we advise those with serious walking difficulties or heart circulation problems not to visit the caves.

This afternoon tour from Salzburg takes you high into the picturesque Bavarian Alps above the Obersalzberg.
